Half of the world's population currently lives in its communities, and this number is expected to reach 60 percent within two decades. Cities provide opportunities for work, income, education, and improved living conditions. However, they also exhibit significant inequality, with extremes of wealth and poverty coexisting. "Cities in Transition" explores these global urban trends, examining recent political and economic developments in North America, South America, Europe, South Africa, and China. As someone who has grown up in a city, I believe that cities reflect and shape us. It acknowledges their multidimensional nature and emphasizes the intricate interplay between various elements. To capture the complexity and fluidity of urban interactions, I have designed a spiderweb flow website that is interconnected and explores the web of connections within a city, with special emphasis on the infinite hyperlinks that define its essence.
